On this page, we would like to introduce you to Bogaczewo and its surroundings.
Our house is located in the Land of the Great Masurian Lakes in north-eastern Poland.

Bogaczewo, situated in the middle of Masurian lakes, is a perfect starting point for visiting numerous beautiful places.
The map on the left shows the Masurian Lakes District. You can click on it to open a larger map (~ 1.2MB!). Our yacht port is marked with a red arrow.
The village itself was once located on the Amber Road. Given its interesting history, we hope that a monograph about Bogaczew’s culture will be published soon.
The quickest way to get to a nearby town of Węgorzewo, with a compelling Museum of Folk Culture, and Mikołajki, is by car. You could also get there via Żegluga Mazurska’s ships. Such a cruise/trip can be a memorable experience, which is why many of our guests choose this form of travel.
On the opposite side of Lake Boczne lies Rydzewo, which has developed touristically in recent years. During a short trip, you can visit the "Wolf's Lair," mighty fortifications from World War II, or the Boyen Fortress with its new museum.
The historic baroque church in Święta Lipka is a particularly interesting place where you can hear the wonderful sounds of the organ during short summer concerts.
The town closest to Bogaczewo is Giżycko, situated between the lakes Niegocin and Kisajno. There, you can see a unique swing bridge, an Evangelical church where you can listen to organ concerts, and the previously mentioned Fortress, where concerts and festivals take place.
We especially recommend kayaking on the Krutynia and Sapina rivers. The whole trip takes only a few hours, and the experience is unforgettable.
You also have the opportunity to rediscover the Masurian Canal, built to connect the Great Masurian Lakes with the Pregoła River basin and the Baltic Sea. The best way to see the magnificent and massive buildings is while kayaking through the almost unspoilt landscapes.
